10 Wake Up Breckenridge. Set your alarms and join the Breckenridge Ski Resort and the Town of Breckenridge at the 9th Wake up Breckenridge, Thursday, November 10, 2011 at local coffee shops around the town for free coffee and mugs.
11 Breckenridge Opening Day
DECEMBER
3 Lighting of Breckenridge. Delight in the holiday sprit with the lighting of Breckenridge.
4-11 Hartford Disabled Sports Ski Spectacular. In its 23rd year, the Hartford returns to Breckenridge as the nation’s largest winter sports festival for people with physical disabilities.
15-18 Dew Tour. The Winter Dew Tour stops in Breck December 15 – 18

JANUARY 2012
3 POD Cup 1. Breckenridge Ski and Ride school instructors compete in a head to head race on the Nastar course in the annual Pod Cup race series to crown the fastest instructor on the snow.
8-14 Ullr Fest. Ullr Fest is an annual wacky winter festival like no other which pays homage to the mythical Norse God of Snow.
11-12 FIS Slalom- TBK. Team Breck Sports Club and the Breckenridge Ski Resort will hosts a high caliber FIS Slalom on the challenging Cimarron on Peak 10, once home to the World Cup. This challenging venue will test the quick turning skills of the best collegiate slalom specialist in the Western US.
21-22 J4 Super G -Team Breck Sports Club and the Breckenridge Ski Resort hosts the J4 Super G on Cimarron on Peak 10, once home to the World Cup. This race is a high speed event with large radius turns challenging the J4 age class (11-12).
24-Feb 5 International Snow Sculpture Championships. Teams from around the world compete in this eye-pleasing event, creating mammoth works of art from 12-feet-tall, 20-ton blocks of snow.
28-29 Mach 1 Mogul Contest. The RMD Freestyle Mogul Tour comes to Breckenridge. ‘Rock the Mach’ is an open age class event hosting men and women from around the state. The competition consists of two judged runs (based on turns & line, air, and speed), with the best run to count. Mach 1 is one of the steepest and most challenging courses in the nation with a 30 degree average pitch over 200 meters.
28-29 USASA HP/SS. New this season Breckenridge is pleased to host the USASA Rocky Mountain region Half Pipe and Slopestyle. The Half Pipe event is open to all ages and to both skiers and snowboarders in our 22 foot Superpipe in the world famous Freeway Terrain Park. The Slope Style will be open to all ages of skiers only on a challenging combination of rails and jumps in the Park Lane Terrain Park.

7 POD Cup 2. Race 2 of the Pod Cup will be held on the Nastar race arena on Sundown. Ski and snowboard instructors will compete in a dual Giant Slalom format to determine the fastest skier and snowboarder in the Ski and Ride School.
12 Devo Moguls. Come watch the kids bash bumps and get air on Peak 9’s Peerless Trail. Once again we will host this fun mogul competition with the Team Breckenridge Freestyle Program for kids and families from the rocky mountain region. For more information visit www.ussarocky.org

Feb20 Hope on the Slopes – American Cancer Society
Feb25-26 Bombers Race Nastar. The ski school Bombers Program will finish off their season with a fun race on the Nastar Hill in a dual GS format. All parents and family can watch this fun Bombers finale.
MARCH 2012
3 Summit Cup-Team Summit. The final Summit Cup of the season will consist of two Giant Slalom races on American on Peak 9.
4-05 Bombers Race-Twister. The ski school Bombers Program will finish off their season with a fun race on Twister single course modified GS format. All parents and family can watch this fun Bombers finale on Peak 8.
4 Youth Ski League Race. The Youth Ski League comes to Breckenridge on Peak 9’s American Trail. This single course Giant Slalom is a youth ski race for boys and girls ages 5 to 13 from a variety of clubs in Colorado. from the rocky mountain region.
6 POD Cup 3-Final. The final Pod Cup will be held again on the Nastar race arena on Sundown with an upper start on Union Road. Ski and snowboard instructors will compete in a single Giant Slalom format to crown the fastest skier and snowboarder for the season in the Ski and Ride School.

2-05 Surefoot Colorado Ski Cup Spring Finale. This season we will once again host the Spring Final of the Surefoot Colorado Ski Cup. This event is a Men’s GS and a Men’s and Women’s Super G and Super Combined on Peak 10’s Cimarron. The field consists of top ranked junior, collegiate and US Ski Team athletes. Results in these races have historically been critical in athletes making the US Ski Team.
7 Five Peaks Mountaineering Event
14 Imperial Challenge. Join us for the 16th Annual Imperial Challenge which includes a 6.2 mile mountain bike ride, a 2,500 ft ascent up Peak 8 and then either ski or ride back down to the base.
